Welcome back to the Pay-Per-Click Pick Me Up! I also want to extend a happy National Small Business week to all of our entrepreneurs and small business owners. We love shopping small and supporting the businesses in our community. If you haven’t already you can check out our blog on three tips business owners can use to make the most out of National Small Business Day.
In our very first Pay-Per-Click Pick Me Up we learned about the wonders of remarketing. Now, Google Remarketing has a new update that will optimize remarketing lists for search ads – also known as RLSA’s.
RLSA’s let you customize ad campaigns on the search network for people who have previously clicked on your ad. It also lets you tailor your bids to those visitors.
This allows us your ads to be highly targeted because you get to go after customers who have a high likelihood to be needing your service.
Here’s an example. Say you are a home contractor who wants to connect with a new home buyer. They wants to tackle a project in their new house. The people in your remarketing list may have been searching for things like new cabinets or new flooring. Google’s new technology will use these search trends to help you find people who are looking for the same things as existing conversions even if they are not on your remarketing list.
It kind of takes the best parts about display advertising and uses them with search.
Through beta-testing people who use similar audiences are seeing up to a 40% increase in conversions and up to 300% in click through rate.
We are really excited to start using similar audiences for our clients and we hope you are too.
Thanks for joining us for another episode of the Pay-Per-Click Pick Me Up. From all of us here at AdMachines, we will see you next week.
